Spanish and French Teachers

These lessons are organized into thematic units focus on culture and folkliterature. Lessons include inventive activities to help students express their opinions and discuss the authentic stories with the ultimate goal of creating their own story. They also include ways to assess student progress, differentiate learning, and scaffold student performace.

National Standards

Backward Design

We carefully choose the performance objectives and assessments for our curriculum units before we design learning experiences to scaffold the students to the objectives. We use the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL) performance guidelines to select appropriate performance levels for novice and intermediate speakers.
